Brightridge appoints Commercial Director to drive next phase of growth

Brightridge Technology has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Andy McKay as Commercial Director, a newly created role to support the company’s next phase of growth.

With nearly 25 years in business, Brightridge has built a strong reputation for delivering reliable IT, connectivity and communications services to a loyal and growing client base. The business is now focused on scaling its operations, supported by a more structured and commercially driven approach.

Andy joins Iain Bett (Founder & CEO) and Martin John (Technical Director) as part of the senior leadership team.

In his new role, Andy will lead Brightridge’s commercial strategy, driving sustainable revenue growth while strengthening sales leadership, pipeline visibility and forecasting, pricing and commercial governance. He will also play a key role in shaping partner relationships and supporting the company’s longer-term growth plans, including strategic acquisitions.

A single, trusted partner for secure technology services

The appointment reflects Brightridge’s ambition to evolve as a single, trusted partner for secure technology services – building on its heritage in connectivity and telephony while continuing to grow its managed IT and cyber security offering. Around 40% of clients already have managed services, with a clear focus on increasing this as the business scales.

Security has always been central to Brightridge’s approach, underpinned by ISO27001 accreditation and its Cyber Essentials services. With Andy’s arrival, the business is set to accelerate investment in this area, further strengthening its position as a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP).

Andy McKay, Commercial Director, said “What stood out to me straight away was the strength of what’s already in place – the technical capability, the client base and the way the business operates. This isn’t about fixing something; it’s about building on solid foundations and taking it to the next level.

“There’s real ambition here, and it’s backed by a team that knows what it’s doing. Brightridge is agile, forward-thinking and already ahead of the curve in a lot of areas.  That’s a great place to start from.

“The opportunity now is to scale that success – bringing more structure to how we grow, while staying true to what’s made the business successful. It’s an exciting time to be joining.”

Iain Bett, Founder & CEO, added “The business is in a strong position and ready to scale. When Andy became available, the timing couldn’t have been better.

“I’ve seen first-hand the impact he can make. He has a proven track record of growing businesses and brings the experience, leadership and commercial focus we need for this next phase.

“This stage was always going to be about bringing the right people into the business. Andy adds a new perspective and complements the team perfectly. I’ve got complete confidence in him and I’m excited to see what we can achieve together.”

Delivering the right outcomes for clients

Having crossed paths over the years through parter networks and industry events, both Iain and Andy recognised a shared approach to business, with aligned ambitions and a focus on delivering the right outcomes for clients.

With a strengthened leadership team and a clear direction, Brightridge is now well positioned to scale its operations, expand its service offering and continue building long-term partnerships with organisations across the UK.
